  • It was an experiment, digital photography.

    "Make a self portrait. Reflect something of yourself you do not usually reveal..."

    I looked in the mirror, pondering how to go about this. I bent my three-sided dresser mirror, providing angles for a two-sided shot. I clicked too soon, as I was brushing the hair away from my face, and wound up with this.

    "Huh" I looked and analyzed, as if I were looking at a stranger, assessing who she might be based upon the photo.

    Distracted, distant. A whiff of arrogance. The tilted chin of defiance, unyielding. And something in the eyes...a story there she's never going to tell?

    All of this in such stark contrast to the friendly, open face I usually wear smiling at a camera.
