I had time to kill, my ever present camera came out and I looked around for something to photograph. After snapping a church and a few other marginally interesting things, my attention inevitably turned to the people and the interesting things they do.
I get very shy photographing people. I neither want to intrude on people's lives or make them uncomfortable, nor do I really want to be noticed, as it spoils the ungoverned behaviour that's so worth framing.
That's the bit I like best. A shame it's only usually possible to catch when someone's at a distance or turned to something else. Still. When you find that thing, raise your lens, and see you've got the shot it's a small triumph in a sometimes unrelenting world.
