  • Today I modelled bridesmaids dresses at a Wedding Fayre,
and cars by the looks of things.

The sun was a hinderence to the day.
    Everyone was outside enjoying it,
but there were still a few happy, engaged couples,
showing off their love and joy to all the singletons.
    To me,
and yes, they were flaunting it.

I would be the same though.
    Absolutely no doubt about it.
And I would be a very protective mother,
    who would spoil her children.

    But not with tv.
    I always say this,
I want to let my children have an imagination,
    to climb trees,
    build camps,
draw, and paint, and make potato prints,
    to fly high on swings,
to cover the kitchen in hundreds and thousands,
to have water-fights in the garden.

I am fully aware that after a long day's work,
or cleaning the house and grocery shopping,
    sewing name tags on socks,
    doing the school run,
    and walking the dog,
then having three (I know I want three) over-excited, screaming children running about...
that plonking them in front of Noddy, or the Smurfs or whatever,
just for 5, maybe 10 minutes peace,
    would be rather tempting.

I wonder what my husband's views will be.
Oh, how a mind can wander at a wedding fayre.
