  • Gone (sort of), but not forgotten......I guess that's how I'm feeling as from afar I see old friend Cowbird slipping away into cyber stasis.

I haven't posted in a couple of years; times change, we find ourselves navigating from new charts as we explore terra nova, and, hopefully always, we continue to explore the world around and inside us. And my own wanderings have taken me away from Cowbird of late.

I am profoundly grateful to Jonathan and his colleagues - especially Annie Correal - for the exquisite gift they gave us. Jonathan's noble experiment brought a lot of people together and I like to think that we all learned a lot thanks to him/them...and each other. What a community it has been!

Thank you, Jonathan, thank you. I know that you will remember that you always have a berth when you get back to this part of Maine....so be neighborly again.

Knowing that Cowbird is about to go quiet - and I should add an extra thanks to you Jonathan for at least keeping the archives available - I am going to make one last posting. I'll have it up shortly.

This next/last one is important to me as we have devolved into a time of looming darkness with the election of the person currently serving as president. I am going to spare myself and you, dear friends, any ranting about this, but suffice it to say that I am not a fan of this person. He and his cohort constitute a clear and present danger to this country and the world.

And so on and so on and so on.

But when it gets dark, we must - each of us - must figure out how we will or can become agents of Light.

My next - and last - Cowbird story is one way I, as an artist, have figured out how to begin doing that.....

Stay safe, be well, spread Light, Cowbirders and readers.

    Peace.

p.s. for what it's worth, I am on Instagram as @peterinmaine.....come visit when and if you can.
