  • Shadows are fallin' and I've been here all day
It's too hot to sleep and time is runnin' away
Feel like my soul has turned into steel
I've still got the scars that the sun didn't heal
There's not even room enough to be anywhere
It's not dark yet but it's gettin' there.

As usual Dylan has said something about what I am feeling. Like others this site has been a way to inspire me to keep writing. But the busyness of life gets in the way. Circles are happening. I started writing on Cowbird to document my journey in Canada a few years ago now, and we are just about to head there again. Circles completed, like migratory birds, heading to the sun.

I now write in other ways. A blog about the beautiful place where I live ( and I am also following my grandfather 100 years to the day as he battles through the mud, blood and death that is the western front in 1917 ( Writing helps in so many ways.

So the writing continues and Cowbird ends. I was a bit sporadic but it was nice to know that something like cowbird existed, and a string of names that also came and went, and many who stayed the whole journey. Well done.

I can't even remember what it was I came here to get away from
Don't even hear the murmur of a prayer
It's not dark yet but it's gettin' there.
