    Marc and Richard have been romantically involved as a couple since May 28, 2004 when they met in College Park, Maryland over Memorial Day Weekend and during the Washington D.C. Black Gay Pride Celebration. It was truly love at first sight and they have been the love of each others lives. Within nine months of dating Marc relocated from Uniondale, New York to start a life with Richard in Columbia, Maryland. They have had a beautiful relationship which includes traveling the globe together and supporting in each other in their careers as HR professionals in the Washington D.C. metro area. In 2007 the couple built a home together in Maryland and move in with their pet yorkie Treasure Cafe'. On a vacation to celebrate their fourth dating anniversary in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic; Richard kneeled on one knee with diamonds in hand and popped the question to the love of his life. With the sun beaming and the crystal blue waves crashing against them on the beach and with joy/tears Marc Anthony accepted the ring and said yes to being his fiancé. On May 26, 2008 the couple decided to take their love to the next level and became registered domestic partners in Washington D.C. They also had a unity commitment ceremony on May 26, 2008 at the Baltimore Inner Harbor with several guest to publicly declare and celebrate their union. They traveled to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico shorty after as a pre-honneymoon and later in the year to Sydney and Melbourne, Australia and Auckland, New Zealand to celebrate their official honeymoon. The following year on their one year commitment anniversary, the couple traveled to Montreal, Quebec and Ottawa, Ontario in Canada to make their union fully legal and recognized. Marc Anthony Royster and Richard A. Winston III became one as legal spouses on May 26, 2009 before God and by the law.
