  • Today I read the beautiful piece that Pete wrote and where he was so kind to mention my name a few times. I am so glad to know that so many in this community feel in the same way and Cowbird has opened a huge opportunity to express our feelings, to tell exactly how we fight our battles and climb our mountains and fall down our valleys of sorrow and how we start climbing again. Behind the stories are real human beings, not trying to impress like many people do, hiding the real self behind a mask. I have to say thanks to Pete because he dedicated a story to me .I have to say that all of you are amazing storytellers and sometimes I would like to express in detail what I love about your stories. It should be perhaps a different category of “love the story" “love the story very much” and “the story is extraordinary”.
I am inspired by all of you. So different and yet so similar, so distant and yet so close, so unknown and yet so known in heart and soul. Pete wrote a piece called Spiritual Realm and I cried for a long time. It was something in his writing that touched me very deeply. Robyn with his most extraordinary gift as a writer, sharing his painful experiences touches every cell of my body and my heart is always with him through the lines he writes .Ben with such unique stories ,where I feel looking at what he describes, absorving the smell of the sea ,and looking at what he is writing about. Kathy with such wisdom in her writing, such an observation of life. Kathy always makes me feel like a friend and her stories touch my heart very deeply.
Leliani with an amazing way to put you inside the story and smell the amazing beer bread she bakes when she can not sleep. Claude, such a gifted writer with an extraordinary eye for beauty and detail and sense of humour. Donnie and her difficult journey to the light with a lovely heart. Sara and her experiences as a mother,Paris,Milann,Sr, and all the wonderful people who take the time to check my stories and bring an invicible bouquet of roses, every day to my screen when they love them. I can go forever because the list is very long and I would love to write about each one of you but even If the words are not here they are all written in my heart. I feel privileged to belong to a group so gifted, so sensitive, so creative and so wonderful as human beings who are not scared to be themselves, and that for me is the greatest quality in a human being. I cry with your pains and laugh with your laughter and I feel the hurt of your experiences. I have the most wonderful group of people meeting here every day. As Pete says the distance is just an illusion and all of you seem to be around the corner. We can know people in real life and they do not mark us in any way. Their presence is just a casual event . People like you, leave your footprints in the sands of my heart.
