  • i stand in the hall staring at walls that call to be relieved of their secrets.
    glancing at the corner of the room, i see eyes.
    eyes that melt my words into satin-like sentences that never seem to make sense.
    eyes that whisper such strength as they pierce my center.
    the eyes walk my way as mine glance down.
    there they are.
    i look up into the mirrored glass that stare back at me and I see.
    i see their heart. i see their love. i see their quirks. i see their hope. i see me in their vivid reflections.
    i see me?
    i wonder am i just on the surface, a projection against the protection of connection.
    or, am i underneath.
    have i passed through to the innermost part of him.
    does he see me or does he know me.
    the eyes, the autumn leaf eyes take me in and all at once I become the sparkle in the center.
