  • " Dear Self,
It is probably late at night. You probably feel lonely and sad. You're wondering about your future and you feel powerless. This feeling sucks but what sucks more is doing what you're planning. It is so much better to just leave it in God's hands. The plans you make and actions you take never, NEVER make you better. They make you worse. They draw you away from the safe waters out to sea where the abyss is endless and the creatures are fierce and the storms rage. You roll among the chaos because you decided your way was better. It's never a big deal. It's never the "worst thing". But it is. You are risking your life. YOUR LIFE. STOP RIGHT NOW AND READ THIS. You are so much better than this and you can do so much more. You are talented and have friends that love you. You have family that raised you better than this. You have a GOD who knew you before you were a thought. A GOD who made you and loves you but, he is pained by your shortcomings. You use and use and use like it's a bank, like it's an account that you draw from. It is a relationship. He gave everything for you. He lived perfectly so that you could be imperfect. Now please make the choice to not add more to his load. He suffered dearly for you. He died a brutal death for you and he would do it all again to save you. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help yourself. Be better than what you are. Rise to the expectations that he has for you. Remember every time before this, every moment you have felt defeated and disgusting and inadequate and please allow yourself to get a break and be good. You are good. God is good. You can do it. If this is not enough please go read James 1:13-18. Please. "

A call to being better everyday:)
