  • I hope we get to sit on porches together, one or five or nine porches between now and forever. You sip your tea and I’ll read my books and when the neighborhood kids come and play in our yard we'll yell at them like this: Hey! What are you doing in our yard playing…without us! And we’ll join them, we’ll play with the kids, all of the kids, when we’re young and dumb and then again 50 years later in a different neighborhood when we’re old and a little wiser, but not too wise not to get our hands and feet dirty with the kids.
