  • Many years ago, two of my daughters made me "love boxes", each at different times. This is a box in which they put little pieces of papers, stating the many reasons why they love me, or what they love about me. I think my daughter Jenn made me one for my 50th, finding 50 reasons to love me!

In the last few years, I have put all of the contents into a larger box. Each morning, before I meditate, I pick two pieces of paper. Patti made hers in tiny little slips, and Jenn's are larger. But even if it weren't for this difference, I always know who wrote what. They serve as my inspiration. They help me know that, after all, I must have been a good mom.

And then, I can get on with my day.

Today's thoughts: "I love the way you smell" (patti) "i love you because you took me traveling with you" (jenni)
