  • I just got a memory from when I was a kid. It made me laugh. It's when I was living with my adopted family. It just goes to show that even when I was a kid, I thought I knew everything.

When I was probably around 6 or 7 years of age, my adopted sister, who was around the same age as I, was teasing me that she knew where babies came from. I argued that I knew as well. My mother laughed and asked me where they came from. My sister told her to be quiet because it was a secret. I told them I knew where they came from. My mother asked me again where they came from.

I said, "From girl's belly buttons!"
