  • Were we leafage, were we thinned, were we sprouts with bite, what soil, what moist, what tunnel, was it green, was it fog, how did the ghost placenta trees line up, what vulvular highway,

Did we have night terrors, walk in the night, did we walk in the amniotic dance party, did we truly walk before we crawled,

Was it all written, was it drawn, scratched, what Lascaux did we leave on the birth canal, what story did we tell as we came out, what art gallery of struggle and blood did we leave on the Birth Gallery walls?

    Who saw it

    If nobody saw it

    We saw it

    We came out to

    Interrogation hospital lights

But we had seen it, we had drawn it, we knew the amniotic sea life,

We were human coral in our reef life at the brink, called for, demanded, women out of women, men out of women, art out of the sea....

What leafage, what silt, what bubbles, what breath, what outrage.

    What beautiful magnificent outrage.
