  • This is letter to say "Thank You" to so many of you Cowbirders who have sent me postcards over the past weeks. But specifically, to Katie Brown because you were the first and because the postmaster smeared your return address, thereby terminating any hope of sending you something via mail (I would still love your address)! The postcard in the picture is from your postcard, and is being shipped to another in Portland, for "Happy, Scrappy Mail".

Looking back on it, when I began this project of 365 days of Postcards (see "Turning It Around", April 1 if you are interested in the full story), I don't know why I opened it up to the Cowbird experience, perhaps to know it is all real. Or perhaps it was to have a physical atom in my hand. So strange when a small something from Never, Neverland drops to the portal that is my PO Box. From all of my heart, Thank You.

    "...The friend is everywhere,
    in every action.
    Love, a lattice.
    Body, fire.

I say, Show me the way.
You say, Put your head under your feet.
That way you rise through the stars
and see a hundred other ways
    to be with me."
