  • One hell of a night. I know I have never experienced anything like the riot at the Sheraton Hotel that evening. But you may not catch that feeling in the voices of the people of Seattle I recorded. From the youthful 20 somethings watching the back entrances, to the old ladies blocking the front, to all the people there to simply yell their complaints at one of the main culprits of the banking bailouts, the common folk of Seattle spoke unwavering and in unison about their feelings toward major banking C.E.O. Jamie Diamond. It was an event that wrote volumes about the angst of Seattlites and defined for me the real power of social organizing and disobedience. What was the most impressive power at work that evening? Lets just say:

"Ain't no power like the power of the people cuz the power of the people don't stop, say what!?"
