  • I live by water & then don't. I take water for an instance, for granted, expecting the ridgewaves of the tide to figure me out, or the sand spit at night, one star rising. Live by water without conflict and with dragonflies, sharp shooters and sun in my hair. I live now in a valley by the Sound, water is what collects in leaves, here, I'd say 'not enough' to clear my mind, in the way that fire works in my littlest boy's hands, relentless and prophesied, a river, a bent canoe and a flag.
