  • Carolina Rivera was the first researcher I invited to give us a talk about her investigartions. That was 1 year and a half go. She talked in CineClub Kikimundo about 20 years of research bout Religions and Religiosity here in the Highlands Of Chiapas...she had wanted one of my images as her book cover for another research: about Centralamerican Migrants.

After her conference she went on a Sabbatical to Barcelona and recently returned. Yesterday she brought me her book with my image on the cover and she told me new facts that I find fascinating and did not know anything about: Honduran women increasingly migrate to Europe. Europe is farther away than the US and the journey is more expensive, but: they all enter as tourists, no problem at all. In Europe there are many elderly people, over 60, who need caretakers and do not have them: these women become those caretakers and have wonderful and horrendous experiences that Carolina collected....
