  • Driving along the congested EDSA Avenue, saw this image where a huge commercial banner is usually placed. Behind that missing monolithic tarpaulin are functional houses made from welded truck containers.

    Imagine the heat and pollution those homes are subjected to, I cannot fathom how one would feel living in those conditions.

    Talking about the heat, one container has an installed air conditioning system. Does that it make it bearable?

    There's no dignity in poverty, even in the face of ingenuity.
