  • Trungpa Rimpoche had gone to the best schools of Europe, where he learnt their ways of thinking. Later on he became very adept at sharing with them the teachings of Tibet in a way they could understand them. He helped turn some of them into warriors.

    What the warrior renonces is anything in his experience that is a barrier between himself and others. In other words, renunciation is making yourself more available, more gentle and open to others.

    They discovered that it was all about softening, not will power. Melting the resistance, not hardening the tension. The warrior, we all are, no longer flees fear. The warrior embraces fear. The warrior is one with fear. In this embrace comes the answer.
