  • It's mostly quiet and peaceful here by the side of the road. Up ahead the exit is closed because of flooding. That's how I ended up in this pile of dead leaves.

    You were pretty pissed at having driven all this way through twisty turning roads only to reach a dead end. You pulled to a stop at the barrier, read the sign in disgust and tried to get a signal on your phone. You paced in circles, feet kicking up rustling leaves. In one hand your cell phone trying to catch a signal, in the other me from which you kept ferociously sipping. When you got to the bottom and you still had not found a signal, you threw me down in frustration, got back into the car, slamming the door, and drove off. Leaving me with only the sound of the wind for company.
