  • What a magnificent architecture!

Winchester Cathedral is the longest medieval cathedral. It has the longest nave in Europe. On Dec 13 2011, I sang in the choir.

I took this picture while waiting for the congregation to be ready. I was sitting on the last row with the choir.

I have been singing at the Carol Service with the school in the past 4 years. Every time I stood at the choir, overlooking the crowd from the top of the sitting area, I felt a deep sense of privilege and serenity.

I love that very moment of peace. I yearn for that absolute beauty.

In the hustle of bustle of life, at the end of every year, it is just a humbling experience, being able to sing and reflect in the most magnificent architecture.

I joined the choir, without being able to read music notes, luckily our choirmaster Mr Clarke was very kind. I simply joined in. 4 years later, I still can't read music, and he still gives me that welcoming smile.

Words would fail to express some feelings in life. My Christmas experience at Winchester Cathedral is one of those beautifully enriching experiences.
