    One morning at the end of April, my landlord unexpectedly knocked and informed me the rent was taken care of for May. My first reaction? He must have had the wrong person, so I braced for disappointment and asked if that were the case. Nope--and he refused to tell me who was responsible or give me any clue after several questions.

    For two weeks this has left me looking at so many people and wondering, "could they have done it?" which has made me kinder to a lot of people without even immediately realizing I'm doing so.

    Whoever it was, they're awesome and helped more than they likely realize.
