  • When I was very young, I obviously had no concept of time. I knew my birthday was in May but that meant nothing when it was September.

    I remember my dad telling me to look to the hills daily and the moment I saw a cluster of yellow, it meant that my birthday was approaching. They come in yellow and pink, however, the yellow is so striking, those trees are easier seen from afar.

    Tomorrow is my birthday...and the Poui trees are for me. Good night, dad.
