I was re-reading some of my older stories, as I am want to do from time to time, and I noticed my sister-in-law's picture in the photo gallery of readers. I realized that her death left an unreasonable hole in my writing experience. She and my brother used to preview my "thought catcher" stories and give me ideas on possible directions.
In one of her many emails to me, she mentioned that she was my "number one fan"...I guess I need to acknowledge the loss. Whether you are a great writer or merely a mediocre one, it is terrible to lose your number one fan.
I miss the input
Ciao, Papa
