  • The phone had been ringing
    Neo ran for it
    Dropping the apple
    The boy had given him,
    A taste programmed of succulence
    And coded crispness
Is that how a real apple would taste?

But the Apple was not a mere apple
    The agents had bugged
    And were fast catching up
Before Smith could say , "So Mr Anderson..."
Neo was gone, through the phone,
    Out of the Matrix,
    Some more batteries to free.

All was left was the apple besides the phone
    Agent Smith grabbed the phone
    But he was too late
    He smiled at himself
As he put down the receiver
"In time Mr Anderson, in time..."
He waited for the phone to ring.
