  • He'd stayed up all night at the Casino, trying to get a break. He played his cards right and beat the bank with a straight flush - the best hand you can get except when the face cards come to town. He was up - pretty flush but needed to double his wad. One spin of the wheel, that could seal the deal. He placed it all on black when he should have gone red. The only flush thing about him now was his face - embarrassed at his huge loss.

    Tired and deflated, he sashayed home but with increasingly little spring left in his step. He walked along the pavement, the buildings flush against the morning skyline. He now knew that the flush of youth was cruelly taken away by a stupid fifty fifty decision that could have changed his life forever. He got home, had a cup of hot tea and determined that this was one day to flush away.
