  • Two girls staggering down the street.
    One wearing short-shorts, the other, a thin summer-coat. While a taxi driver drives past in no more than 10mph, only to make a U-turn moments later.

    Apart from the roaring sound of cold and drunk people slipping on the snow, and throwing snowballs, there was an incredible silence surrounding us.

    London was dead quiet.

    Barely any cars on the motorway(all moving very carefully, or spinning to a halt.
    No Underground, and only a couple of planes passing overhead in the 3 hours my house mates, and I went for a stroll in the fresh snow.

    It's a rare, and beautiful calm. And one I will remember for a long time.
