  • Today this group of seven-year-olds visited the Herring Museum to practice for their little concert.
Tomorrow they will be singing Icelandic folk songs and chanting Páll Helgason's rhymes for our museumguests.
The occasion is "Eyfirski safnadagurinn" - a day dedicated to all the museums in Eyjafjörður, Iceland. This year we will be focusing on music. At the Herring Museum guests will hear an accordion playing, maybe even two. Our local herring girls will sing some of the old "herringsongs" - and these little geniuses will finish the day with a little program of their own.
