  • It's always fulfilling to see your work being exhibited but still there is always that nagging doubt and insecurities - Job done... For me and I would imagine most artists the concept job done is a joke.

    Art is a demanding boss and it keeps you on your toes, you're never satisfied and most check out early. In a fact it is a cliché and the weight of expectation can be daunting.

    After staring for days on end at the blank boards stretched across my studio and striving for that spark of inspiration the works were finally done and ready for an exhibition.

    They are portraits of Icelandic politicians who had the biggest debts in the Icelandic banks before the financial collapse, a top ten list.

    As soon as you gain another perspective of your most recent work you start thinking about what could have been done differently and then you move on.

    The job is never done.
