  • Dear Alex,

My dear, dear Alex. Today is your 19th birthday, and I wish I could be standing in front of you, hugging you, and telling you how much I love you, and how proud I am of you. Instead, there's an ocean between us, but I'm hoping I'll be able to reach you and get you to come onto skype! I miss seeing your face. I miss hearing your laugh.

The bond between siblings is truly a mysterious one. Especially the one between us. We've gone through so much together, and even if we don't talk for months at a time, nothing can describe the connection I feel to you. Its like we've been having a continuous conversation at a subconscious level, and it doesn't matter how much we actually communicate in the spoken word.

Did I ever tell you that you're probably the person in the world I feel the most love for? Did I ever tell you that I often think of you, and miss you?

No matter how much you can annoy me, and drive me crazy at times, I will never be able to describe the extent to which I love you. I am so grateful to have you as my brother, because you have taught me so much. You have shaped the way I see the world in such a profound way, and I know my love for you will guide me to create things far greater than I can imagine.

You inspire me to change the world for the better, and to have the courage to be a leader.

    Your dear sister, Nadia.
