  • The girl had been looking for her friend Simone, for several years. They lost contact years ago after being childhood friends before Simone had moved. Layla had heard her friend became pregnant either right before or right after graduation. Each being from strong Southern Baptist backgrounds, their mothers were in the same Sunday School Class and raised their kids with true Biblical discipline. Spanked, sometimes embarrassed in front of other friends and each other, verbally and physically abused it was amazing they didn't stick to each other like glue.

Layla asked on the high school memorial page if anyone knew where her friend was , that she was looking and didn't even know if she were still alive. A woman emailed the information and Layla was on the phone to Simone at 8 a.m. that morning! They met at a restaurant , talking for hours. It was amazing to find out each had basically lived the other's life while being apart. The circumstances were not identical, but the outcome was. Mental Illness had run their lives for years. it would be interesting to find out how often this occurred in the 70' generation.
