  • Whenever I started a new class at school the teacher always would say, "lets play a game", cringe! ...

One of the repeated games was, guess which statement is true, and which is a lie.

Well, I used to find some small amount of pleasure from confusing people with my statements.

the first was always something believable - I was born with blonde hair, or I am a quarter french (which may actually be true!) ...

the second was brilliant... I would watch them roll their eyes and assume that I was born with blonde hair and they could move on to the next person... but no...

When I said, I have run and jumped off of Beachy Head cliff face - oh it just couldnt be true!

Then with glee I would inform them all of my Uncle John, Windy John as most paragliders call him, and how we went flying, up to cloud base and over the sea, round the rolling hills and away.... I would be bombarded with questions and people seeing if they could do it too...

To this day I still say (with, oh so much expertise) to whoever will listen; its flyable dont you know...!

My Uncle John is one of the best men I know. He is Superman.
