  • Long back ,I had read this short story, The Nine Billion Names
of God,by Arthur C Clarke.I have never been able to forget
that story. Today when I see the destruction of Trees all around,
I remember that story. It is as if Science Fiction stories are
    coming true.
All around we see Earth-movers,leveling mountains
and filling valleys to level the land. The whole earth
    is being turned upside down.
It is as if people are just living for the present and it is just
greed and greed for the land hungry, nothing else matters.
    When will this destruction end?

“God has cared for these trees, saved them from drought,
disease, avalanches, and a thousand tempests and floods.
But he cannot save them from fools” . ~John Muir

“Trees are poems that earth writes upon the sky,
We fell them down and turn them into paper,
That we may record our emptiness”.
    ~Kahlil Gibran
