  • This gentleman is an apparition from another decade. I caught a lucky glimpse of him (and a snippet of his music) from across the tracks.

His worn fedora, his demeanor, his songs, and his beautifully inlaid instrument betrayed him as a time traveller. I was honored that he'd stopped in this year to grace the harried city slickers with his antiquated charm.

He cradled his accordion with a respectful love, like a cherished friend. The noise swelled out of it, filling in the spaces between frenetic conversation and adding characteristic ambience to the platform.

He had the faintly glowing aura of a spirit; bringing a kind of nostalgic happiness to the ever rushing veins of Boston.
