    I woke up this morning and opened the shutters letting in the morning light.

    A little spider fell off the shutter and dangled by a silk thread in front of my face. I stared at him. He was so tiny. As I stared, he curled up into a ball and hung there. A little ball dangling on a silk thread.

    "You better move away from there, that is a horrible place to be." I said through the window to the little spider.

    Turning away, I began my morning ritual by turning on the radio. As I turned around to see if he had moved, I saw a small brown bird swoop down to the window and grab the spider in his beek and fly away.

    "I told you to move." I said and started to hum a wordless tune.
