  • I was looking on my computer for my story of how we met, but I can't find it. That was to be my first entry on, because it was already written and much thought went into it, the year before you passed on, plus, it was already written and I was just going to cut and paste it.

My laptop, or should I say, Austin's laptop, is in the shop and I'm searching on the data stick which Staples downloaded for me, of all my files. Where's my story of how we met? I guess it will have to wait.

I guess you'd rather skip over all that messy business of our first years together and concentrate on how you basked in the sun at our Kisco kitchen table, as a proud father and king of the family. Basking in the pure joy of someone's birthday, I believe. Isn't that a birthday cake box in front of you?

It's not surprising how you intervened and chose this picture and moment in time to be recorded, or discussed. The word "Life" is right there....captured as if by mistake. It was someone's birthday, because another picture on this file shows you wearing a paper cone birthday hat; looking as silly and playful as a young puppy. This one looks like the "puppy" wants his belly scratched.

You loved life, but didn't know how proud you'd be to actually give life, until it happened. What's with you you actually think that you were somehow hatched? Do most men disconnect from the act of making love in their courting years, only to discover, if as by surprise, that there is a purpose after all? Do all men take 3 huge giant steps or jumps in transition from "mom separation" to "now I am man thing" then morph into the role of "now I am king and father"?. I have no clue what it's like to be male, but, I certainly am happy to have had an easier flow through it all. Do women bask in the sun with that proud look on their face? I think we're too busy!

I'm glad we've reconnected with all these words. It's nice to talk again. Stop making me laugh by calling ME a box for life. Hopefully I was more than that, plus I'm softer and curvier than a box, excuse me!

Well, you're activity on earth, as we know it, continues, through your three children, and I know you are proud. Although you'll always be king of the family I need to borrow the sun and those rainbow colors of LIFE, for my chakra system, so I can survive and help the kids. Yes, I know I shouldn't actually eat so much cake, and I know you see the ten extra pounds I've put on recently, but I'm trying. Aren't you a bit proud that I've got my gym statistics and muscle groups recorded on my blackberry and get to the gym once in awhile?

I know you are busy, but don't be shy about coming around when you have the time. Thanks for intervening. It's a grand start!

    Love you,
