    It's the same with clothes. Old band t-shirts. Jeans that are showing their age. I mean, who keeps Levi's with a hole in the crotch?

    Don't answer that.

    We made the ultimate commitment. Joined our libraries together and discovered why it was so painful. Two copies for every milestone book in our lives. Like a string of pearls, each book was a newly broken tooth. Too terrible a gap to fill.

    We postponed surgery. Luckily bookshelves are cheap.
