  • There is a girl I know who lives up the road. I don't know how she came to be, or came to be there, or came to be there now, or what deep space occurrence could bring such timing to my life, but there was a moment at the beginning of time when all exploded in a single heartbeat and somehow she came from that. She is my musician and her fingers pluck notes from the air around her, notes that resonate around her like a lazy spiderweb. She is my singer and in the darkened folds of a rainy night words and memories and sounds and desires and breath escape her and take shape, dancing like shadows across paned glass and blank walls. She is my writer and has been known to write my dreams and short stories of passion and fleeting moments. She is my traveler and in her wake she tows magic down neon-lit streets and leaf-covered paths and it's hard to not want to walk behind her. Her mind is filled with secrets and a Promethean knowledge of what it is to be alive and it all makes me want to live. Her hair falls like a soft rain and I like to feel it on my skin. A nebulous light comes from her eyes when she decides to really look at me and in it are hints of that chaotic beginning so long ago and I can't help but to look, to stare, and trace the stars with lips across her face. It is a lovely, indescribable feeling to be tangled up with her.
