  • I have a good friend who is a grammar geek.
It seems she's not alone, quite in vogue at present.
I keep my writing from her, like a dirty secret...
I know she will start proof reading and whether she chooses to tell me, or not, I know she will make a mental note of every error...
I guess I will have to tell her now, (if I decide to go ahead and create her character).
So this is my punctuation apology to the world.
I didn't learn grammar at school, I don't think I attended that day (or many),
Semi-colon's, colon's, apostrophe's, I just stick them wherever they look like they belong.
The words verb, adverb, noun, pronoun, wash over me as meaningless sounds.
Don't try to convert me, I'll wait for the trend in grammar fascism to pass.
To learn correct grammar and punctuation would be like watching paint dry, that's a metaphor (I googled it)
