  • My daughter’s birthday is in a few days, and I wanted to make her a postcard to celebrate, because she collects postcards. Yesterday, we went to seven Lakes State Park to look for Spring wildflowers and discovered that the area had been burned and the ground was charred. We considered leaving and going elsewhere to hike, but stayed and luckily were able to hike out of the burned-over area. We found spring beauties, hepatica and anemones. Also may apples and early meadow rue in bud.
  • I decided to paint hepatica on a postcard for my daughter.

    Happy Birthday Erin!
