  • Here in the UK, even though we continue to experience cold winds and frequent heavy showers, spring is doing it's best to arrive.

It lifts my heart to see the bees foraging on my Red Windsor apple tree blossoms.

Red Windsor is a cross between Cox's Orange Pippin & Alkmene. It's a good disease-resistant alternative to Cox for backyard growers.

Alkmene is a medium-sized cox-style apple from Germany with nice, firm aromatic, honey-flavored flesh, provides a more spicy, complex and interesting alternative to the ubiquitous gala.
