  • I am surrounded by friends in a crowd of half-million or so at one of the biggest parties in the world and I am utterly alone. I can't help but think it's funny. I don't know why I am here. I could be at home with just dust bunnies for company and would feel more comfortable than within the midst of this cold anonymity. It's a school of two-legged fish, swimming madly up the street and back down again, flitting about, flickering scales reflecting the fading light of day.
