  • The brake line and emergency cable on my car were cut two nights ago. At home. It was when my car was parked in the street and across from the house. Mechanic confirmed as cut, not frayed. Of course, I asked him.
    It's a sinister type of crime all by itself. Right!?! Right?
    To clarify,I'm not dating anyone married, I'm in my fairly settled 40's, my international spy career is long past me. What I had not foreseen is that it has opened my life up for a lot of unwarranted speculation, not the least of which is that several folks (pro porting to love me) have tried to find plausible reasons why this was deliberate and not a random act of vandalism.
    Should a similar situation arise for you... oh, never mind. Who's brake line is ever severed?
    And yes, it takes something big like bolt cutters to do it.
