  • If I were the Manhattan bridge, I'd break off from Manhattan. Why is it that native Manhattanites prefer walking or biking across a bridge named after another borough, when I share the namesake of the place that is so dear to them? Tourists never take pictures of me. I never end up on postcards or in family photos, even though I'm the more handsome bridge (if a bridge could be handsome). In fact, they mock me by naming an entire neighborhood after my wretched underpass.
