  • A kind-hearted man approaches a derelict on the pavement, a cap by his side with a few coins in it, his eyes closed. He puts a coin in the cap on the ground.

    K.H.M: Get yourself a sandwich.

    Derelict: Grunts

K.H.M. You look healthy and fit.

    Derelict: Grunts

K.H.M: You could get a job...

Derelict raises his head opens his eyes, and asks: Why?

K.H.M: With a job, you can earn money and buy food.

    Derelict: Why?

    K.H.M: So you can eat.

    Derelict: I eat.

K.H.M: You can save some of your earnings.

    Derelict: Why?

K.H.M: It’s always good to have a little something put aside.

    Derelict: Why?

K.H.M: I don’t know ... for when you retire. You can then take things easy, go where you
please, do nothing, laze in the sun, meditate...

    Derelict: Doing that right now!
