  • I have a thing for murals. Maybe it's that I wish I could paint one. But anyhow, I can't pass them by without photographing them, or just walking along them, leaning in close, imagining how they were made.

    I like this one, because it's on what used to be a bare, cinderblock wall that faces an elementary school. I used to walk by it in the winter and wish I could walk its full length, checking the whole thing out.

    But it was always too cold, or too snowy. Or too dark. Or the wrong time.

    Today I waked the whole thing, and took a bunch of photos. Then I turned my back to the wall, and looked at the elementary school.

    I wondered what the kids saw when they were bored in class and looked outside. If I were kid in this school, this fish would be my favorite. I would always look for him.
