  • I spend a portion of every day searching for something I had in my hands two seconds ago. Then, when I - in a state of aggravated frustration - relook again in a place where I've just looked - Voila! There it is.

This is a reoccurring phenomena. I cannot explain it. I became frightened at first, began to believe this hiding in plain sight phenomena could only be explained as unchecked poltergiest activity - the perniciousness of it, always searching for something. I decided to douse the house in holy water to ward it off, however, it didn't stop. I had to go looking for the empty vial to return to the local priest.

So, I decided it might be more effective to reorder my thinking. I now assume that whatever I put down will mysteriously disappear and just as magically reappear when it is good and ready to do so. Therefore, I have taken a page from the Boy Scout playbook. I got spares.
