  • My husband and I are generally early risers. We both get up around 5, 5:30AM. Have some coffee, read the paper, check emails and then shower , get dressed, and start the day. This last year has been an emotionally volcanic year for me for a variety of reasons and I've felt the need to try to sleep in a bit longer.

We have a wacky black/white cat named John. I think he's a bit OCD. My husband gets up and feeds him but God forbid if I try to sleep in just a bit longer! John comes into the room and starts whining. He just can't stand seeing me sleep in. The other day I managed to fall back to sleep despite his whining. But this cat is very persistent. I'm in a deep sleep, lying on my right side, and all of a sudden I feel this heavy16 pound furry creature walking on my body from my knee and up into my face where he proceeds to whine, meow and lick my nose until I have no recourse but to wake up.

    My little kissy face boss!
