  • Well that's it really - that's all there is to it. The title says it all.

    This is my beautiful daughter, sitting in my late lamented beautiful mini convertible.

    We were driving through Somerset, hood down even though it was November (because we could, and it was sunny, and the wind was in our hair) and working our way through a multi-pack of mini cheddars.

    (For non-British readers, these are a cheesy biscuity snack of great addictiveness).

    Suddenly I noticed which town we were driving through - Cheddar! Of Cheddar cheese and Cheddar Gorge fame! Here we were, in a mini, in Cheddar, gorging on mini cheddars.

    So I parked at the side of the road where we had the town sign in the background (look closely) and she posed, somewhat grumpily.

    I love this picture. She hates it. Mothers and daughters...

    Oh, and it's her birthday today. April 8th. Happy birthday, Rosalind x
