  • *Standing in line at a cafe*

"Ohhhh, wow...Excuse me, can I have a look at your tattoo?"

    "No problems."

"What....what does it say? Dom....dominus...ill-umi-natio..Illuminati!!!???? mea...What the hell does that mean? Do you like the Da Vinci Code or something?"

"It means "The Lord is my Light", and No, no I don't. "

    "Ohhhhhhh............."*awkward pause*

    "It's actually a quote taken from my favorite Psalm in the Bible- Psalm 27- which reads;

The Lord is my Light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? "

    " So you're a Christian huh."

    "Yes! Yes I am."

"Well, it is rather beautiful anyway- one of the 'nicer' ones i've seen"

"Why thank you, that's very kind of you"

"What's that red dress at the top for?"

"Well, Actually, that's Jesus, Ascending to Heaven after he was resurrected from death on the cross"

"And the bird and hands? what do they mean?"

"Well, I wanted to combine two fundamental principals of Christianity- things that are very dear to me. So the first is the Ascent of Christ after the crucifixion as I mentioned earlier, and the second is the Descent of the Great and Wonderful Counselor - The Holy Spirit in his place."

"And the bird is the holy counselor?"

    "A symbol thereof, yes."

    "Ohh.......And the hands...?"

"They are representative of everyone. Raised, reaching out for fear, raised also to receive the blessing of the holy spirit"

"Wow.....Ok, well thanks so much for showing me."

    "Hey no-problems- Happy Easter."

"Oh yeah, That's right, it's Easter Weekend. Well, Happy Easter to you too."
